The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X has been unveiled, offering a fresh new design with a handful of color options. One of its highlights is its PaperMatte LCD panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
As the name suggests, it has a texture similar to paper while also being less eye straining. Other display specs include its 2800 x 1840 resolution and its peak brightness of a thousand nits.
Powering the tablet is a new Kirin T91 chipset with eight cores. However, HUAWEI has yet to reveal details on their new processor. Moving on, this device offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
For optics, the tablet is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide at the rear. The main shooter has autofocus while the ultra wide camera has a LED flash as well. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel shooter at the front.
The MatePad 12 X packs a large 10,100mAh battery with 66W of Turbo Charge support via USB Type-C. Users will also find that the tablet will also run on HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. As for other features, it has six (6) speakers fitted with HUAWEI Sound and four (4) microphones.
The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X comes in White, Sakura Punk, and Greenery color options. It’s currently priced at EUR 649PHP 39,982USD 681INR 57,754CNY 4,963 (~PHP 40K) with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
At the time of writing, this is only available in the UK and Europe. We’ll update readers should the new tablet ever be available in the Philippines.
