Huawei has officially launched its latest Nova series, the Nova 5. Included in the lineup is the Nova 5, Nova Pro, and the Nova 5i.
The Nova 5 has a 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED display with a drop notch that houses the 32MP front camera. It’s powered by the new Kirin 810, paired with Mali-G52, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage capacity, expandable up to 256GB via NM memory card. On the rear, it has four cameras composed of 48MP main + 16MP wide-angle + 2MP depth + 2MP macro shooters. Other features include 3,5000mAh battery capacity with 40W fast charging support, USB-C port, in-display fingerprint scanner, and runs on EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie. Device colors include Dilemma Forest, Midsummer Purple, and Bright Black.
The Nova 5 Pro has the same screen dimensions, cameras, operating system, and battery capacity as the Nova 5. Its difference lies under the hood, with the Nova 5 Pro powered by Kirin 980 paired with Mali G76, has 8GB RAM, and storage capacity of 128GB/256GB. It also has the same colors as the Nova 5, with the addition of Coral Orange.
As for the Nova 5i, it’s reported to be the Chinese version of the P20 Lite (2019) that was recently released in Europe. The Nova 5i comes with a 6.4-inch screen, powered by Kirin 710, has 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB storage expandable via microSD. It has a 24MP hole-punch front camera, and a 24MP main + 16MP wide + 2MP depth + ToF sensor quad rear camera setup. Other features include 4,000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and runs on EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie. Device colors include Crush Blue, Crush Red, and Midnight Black.

Pre-orders in China for the Huawei Nova 5 begins on July 13 and can be purchased by July 20. The Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i both begin pre-orders on June 21 and will be available for purchase by June 28.
