Huawei has silently unveiled a new addition to the nova lineup, the HUAWEI nova Y72. While its design and some key specs are already out, Huawei is yet to reveal the phone’s chipset and full configuration.
Interestingly, a model named HUAWEI Enjoy 70, which looks exactly the same as the nova Y72, went official in China in December 2023. Under the hood of the Enjoy 70 is the three-year-old Kirin 710A chip, presumably the same chipset powering the nova Y72.
So far, we know the nova Y72 boasts a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a dew-drop notch housing an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The rear panel bears a subtle resemblance to the HUAWEI P60 Pro due to its camera island design. It features a 50-megapixel primary camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens.
The phone packs a sizeable 6000mAh battery with 22.5W charging and runs HarmonyOS 4.0. However, expect it to switch to EMUI upon global release.

A phone with a 3 yr old chipset is just not acceptable. Stop putting out e-waste.
