The HUAWEI P Series is upgrading, with the revamped line kicking off with the Pura70.
This announcement was made by HUAWEI Consumer Business Group CEO Yu Chengdong.
He noted that this series will adhere to the concepts of simplicity, purity, and epitome of high-end devices. Yu also said that they will integrate art and fashion with technology for the upcoming line.
Additionally, Yu promised that HUAWEI would create a unique, modern aesthetic design that continues to challenge the limits of mobile imaging.
Based on teasers shown on Weibo, the first device under the Pura series is the Pura70. The teaser shows a rectangular play button-like camera design, consistent with the HUAWEI P70’s earlier leaks 26.
An article also reveals that an established tipster notes that the new series is likely to accompany four smartphone models. The line will be inclusive of the Pura70, Pura70 Pro, Pura70 Pro+, and Pura70 Ultra.
The HUAWEI P Series has been around since 2012 with the Ascend P1. It rose to popularity worldwide after partnerships with the likes of Leica and P9.
The last P Series is the P60 line, which was also arguably the best photography phone during its time. As for the upcoming Pura70, there’s still no word on its official release date.
