Huawei Philippines has recently announced its latest software update, the EMUI 11, in the country.
The initial rollout of the EMUI11 included the P40 P40 Pro, P40 Pro+, Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and Mate 30 Pro 5G, which all received the software update last December 15, 2020.
The EMUI 11 Â brings tons of improvements and features to eligible Huawei smartphones. This includes a simpler Always-On Display with customizable color palettes, Long-take Animations for a smoother transition, Smart Multi-Window, Edge Panel, multiple Floating Window, and a new Quick Ball for collapsing and resizing multiple windows.
Improvements to Multi-Screen Collaboration for running apps from smartphones to supported laptops were also made, increasing the number of apps from two to three. This is useful for comparing prices between two online retailers, responding to text messages while catching up on a TV show, or monitoring stock quotes showing on one window and a trading platform on another.
EMUI 11also offers comprehensive security protection for users with its augmentation of the CC EAL5+-certified TEE OS microkernel. It also introduces a new security feature called Encrypted Memo, which secures personal memos behind a password or biometric check.
Below are the remaining eligible devices to receive the EMUI 11 update:
• Huawei Mate XS – January 20, 2021
• Huawei nova 7 SE – January 27, 2021
• Huawei P30 Series – February 28, 2021
• Huawei nova 5T – March 3, 2021
• Huawei Mate 20 Series – March 21, 2021
Do note that the update will be pushed by Huawei Over-the-Air (HOTA). To install the software update on the mentioned devices, go to Settings, choose System & Updates, and tap Software updates to check if there’s any available software update to download.
