The HUAWEI Sound Joy 2 22 is now official, with noticeable changes like its Devialet branding being removed. HUAWEI and Devialet previously collaborated in the production of this device’s predecessor, as the latter specialized in developing sound drivers.
The device has an easy-to-carry cylinder-like form-factor with holes at the bottom. The design leaves room for one of its radiators to breathe when standing upright.
The new speaker is equipped with the brand’s new quad-unit HUAWEI Sound System. It promises to blast up to 85dBA of music that could cover an entire basketball court.
The device is made up of a 20W full-range speaker, a 10W tweeter, and two passive radiators on each side. This helps improve its bass output while keeping sound distortion to a minimum.
The HUAWEI Sound Joy 2 packs a 8,800mAh battery just like its predecessor, which is good for 26 hours. The speaker offers support for up to 40W of fast charging via USB Type-C.
HUAWEI notes that users can listen to music for up to an hour after just 10 minutes of charging.
Other features consist of the device’s Light Show, which syncs with the song playing. There’s also Tap to Transfer and Shake for Stereo gestures should the user have another Sound Joy speaker.
The devices comes with three colorways in Isle Blue, Obsidian Black, and Thriving Green. There’s no news yet on the speakers’ pricing and availability, but we’ll keep you guys so stay tuned!
