Huawei on Wednesday announced two new wearables set to launch on May 18: the Huawei Watch GT3 Pro and Huawei Watch Fit 2 both running on HarmonyOS.
The Huawei Watch GT3 Pro will come in two variants, Titanium and Ceramic editions whereas the former’s design mainly caters to men while the latter is streamlined for women, providing a “full range of female health features.”
The watch frame spans to 46mm is made of nanocrystalline ceramic housing an AMOLED panel underneath a sapphire glass. Huawei claims the display will highlight features for freediving and golf range. And based on the graphic, the watch has a built-in ECG for heart rate monitoring.
On the other hand, the Huawei Watch Fit 2 has a colorful and playful design approach. It features the same boxy frame that spans to 43mm and is made of metal. The design closely resembles the Apple Watch though.
Its watch face features a 1.75-inch ‘FullView display’ matched with a silicone strap. The Huawei Watch Fit 2 will come in Pomelo Red or Isle Blue. Additional features include Health Living Shamrock, all-day health management, Bluetooth calling support, an ‘animated fitness coach,’ over 96 workout modes, and WhatsApp quick chat reply. Huawei has yet to mention if other messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger or Telegram will be supported.
Further specifications such as the dimensions, weight, and most importantly, the battery life, pricing and availability are expected on their local launch. Stay tuned for more updates!
