The Infinix Smart 9 has been silently launched in Malaysia. It’s an entry-level device that sports a 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HD+ resolution.
Powering this is a Helio G81 chipset. It comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Infinix says that it offers fluency for up to 48 months, which suggests that performance can be maintained for four years.
For optics, it has a 13-megapixel main shooter paired with an unspecified auxiliary sensor. At the front, it’s equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera and has a Dynamic Bar at the top of the display.
The phone runs on XOS 14 based on Android 14 Go Edition. It also packs a sizable 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W of charging via USB Type-C. Other features include a 3.5mm audio port, stereo speakers, fingerprint sensor, and face unlock.
The Infinix Smart 9 is available in Malaysia for MYR 299 (PHP 3,900). Its higher configuration with 4GB/128GB has yet to be announced. We’ll update readers should this new entry-level device arrive in the Philippines.
