Niantic, developers of Pokemon Go, released the second installment of their first augmented reality game, called Ingress Prime.
The game features a few upgrades such as new quick-swipe menus, inventory management, one-finger map gestures, Facebook account-linking, and improved anti-cheat and security features. Players will also undergo a comprehensive onboarding system wherein the new interactive training program will be an introduction to the global game board, how to uncover and control Portals (which are usually landmarks of cultural significance in the real-world), acquire the powerful resources, and Exotic Matter (XM).
Veteran players of the first installment can now use “Recurse” which allows them to reset their levels and faction choice while retaining all badges and gaining a new one to denote their status. The accomplishments and activities of players can be seen through a new interactive hub called “Ingress Investigate” and an in-fiction video series called “Dunraven Project”.
