Intel may have inadvertently shared parts of the specs of its upcoming Arc GPU for desktops. This comes in the form of Intel recently releasing a video demonstrating the features of its Arc Control Software that allows GPU monitoring capabilities. However, for a split second, you could actually see the specs of an unknown discrete desktop GPU being shown.
It was first noticed by 3DCenter that a short clip at the 29-second mark gives details of the unknown GPU at 99.57% utilization. The clips tells us that the GPU packs in 175W of power and a GPU clock speed of 2250 MHz and a VRAM clock speed of 1093 MHz.
If the details of this supposed leak are real, then this could very well be a high-end GPU by Intel. The 175W figure shows just the GPU power and not the full board power, which would entail that this is a 200W+ card. The 1093 MHz VRAM clock reading would give us an idea of a clock speed of about 17.5 Gbps which would deliver 560 GB/s throughput.
For now, at least, this is all speculation but it’s probable. Intel may very well be launching its Arc line of desktop GPUs soon as we could see it as soon as the middle of the year. Intel’s Arc cards as said to support full AV1 encoding and decoding.
