Intel once again introduces a new series of Optane SSDs in the form of the 905P line, the successors to last year’s 900 series. These new SSD’s are designed for heavy workloads and targets professionals, content creators, and enthusiasts.
The Optane SSD 905P has a random storage performance of up to 575K/550K IOPS, for the 4K random reads/writes. Apart from that, the drives also has a low latency of less than 10?s and a 10 DWDP (Drive Writes Per Day) rating. Once again, we are treated with two different capacities — 480GB and 960GB.
The 480GB variant is priced at $599 (~Php 31,061) while the 960GB variant jumps to a staggering $1200 (~Php 62,226) price tag. Local pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
