Vivo’s iQOO sub-brand iQOO has just announced their new Z-series family comprised of the Z7i, Z7x, and Z7. It’s the successor to the Z6 series launched last year and complements the India-exclusive Z7 5G which was revealed earlier this week.
Among the three, the Z7 is the most powerful featuring a 6.64-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the Z7 packs a Snapdragon 782G SoC chipset paired with an Adreno 642L GPU and is available with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
There’s a dual-camera system at the back highlighted by a 64MP main shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera is equipped with a 16MP sensor. Powering the Z7 is a 5,000mAh battery pack that is capable of 120W fast charging. Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Z7 runs on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13.
Slotting beneath the Z7 in terms of specs is the Z7x. Like the Z7, it also has a 6.64-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it runs a less powerful Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and Adreno A619 GPU. It only comes with a maximum of 8GB RAM, but still has up to 256GB internal storage. Interestingly, the Z7x does come with a microSD slot to expand storage space further.
As for the camera, the dual rear camera is highlighted by a 50MP main shooter and a 2MP portrait sensor. In the Z7x, the front camera only shoots at 8MP. The battery on the Z7x is larger, rated at 6,000mAh but does not support 120W fast charging. The Z7x also runs on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13.
Last but not least is the Z7i, the most affordable model in the family. Unlike the first two models, the Z7i only has a 6.51-inch LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. It does use a Dimensity 6020 chipset and a Mali G57 GPU. The Z7i is available with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
There are two cameras at the back, a 13MP for the main lens paired with a 2MP macro lens. The front camera inside the teardrop notch uses a 5MP sensor. The battery is rated at 5,000mAh, and the phone runs on OriginOS Ocean based on Android 13.
