The Leica Q3 43 is now available and has been priced in the Philippines. This camera introduces a lens revamp to the line. It has a notable upgrade from its established 28mm f/1.7 lens introduced almost a decade ago in 2015.
The camera now has a 43mm f/2.0 APO-Summicron aspherical lens that offers tighter close-up shots. Users can definitely leverage this for pulling off better portrait shots.
At the back of the camera, there’s a 3-inch LCD touchscreen that can now be tilted. Above it, there’s a new built-in OLED EVF.
However, this model is practically the same as the standard Leica Q3. It kept its BSI-CMOS sensor fitted with triple-resolution technology. For those unfamiliar with this, users can freely switch between taking 18-megapixel, 36-megapixel, and 60-megapixel photos.
It also features a Hybrid Autofocus system which includes PDAF, Contrast AF, depth from Defocus, and AI integrations. For video recording, it can shoot 8K videos with formats like ProRes and h265. Plus, it offers digital zoom ranges starting at 43mm to 150mm.
The body of the device has an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance as well. In other words, don’t go too crazy around water with this model. For ports, users will find a couple made for USB Type-C and HDMI. Lastly, it supports the Leica FOTOS app for iPhones and iPads.
The Leica Q3 43 is available at the official Leica Store website for the Philippines. It has been priced at PHP 434,565 as well.
