Lenovo has announced three Chromebooks at MWC 2018, sporting new designs, rugged build, and an Enhanced Touch feature – the Chromebook Trio.
The Chromebook Trio features a flak-jacket-like protection with rubber bumpers, reinforced ports and hinges, and spill-resistant keyboards with reinforced keys. The 100e has a traditional laptop design while the 300e and 500e have 360-degree Yoga hinge that turns into a 2-in-1 device. It is made for educational purposes so you’re more likely to see these in classrooms.
As for the Enhanced Touch feature, it is based on the AnyPen tablet technology which lets you use normal pens, pencils, or even paper clips as a stylus. The 500e model has a built-in EMR Pen that can be used to navigate throughout the screen. Lenovo has further enhanced this feature by implementing Google’s custom coding and machine learning algorithm to predict where the pen is going and can help users write, sketch, or draw with more stability.
