LG Electronics showcased to the Philippine media in Seoul, South Korea, their latest DualCool residential air conditioner (RAC) that features the company’s Dual Inverter Compressor.
The DualCool RAC looks like the typical split-type AC but is powered by LG’s proprietary Dual Inverter Compressor, the first variable-speed compressor. Compressors on typical air conditioners turn off and on in order to adjust the temperature. However, a Dual Inverter Compressor constantly adjusts a compressor’s speed to maintain desired temperature levels. This minimal fluctuation allows the RAC to save energy while delivering faster and more efficient cooling.
LG says that it can lower electricity consumption by up to 70% and can cool up to 40% faster than a typical non-inverter RAC. The company also boasts a 10-year warranty on its compressor technology.
LG also introduced its WiFi-enabled smart window-type air conditioner that is also powered by the Dual Inverter Compressor. It features the benefits of the said compressor and boasts up to 25% more energy savings than the Energy Star certification requirement. It also operates at a low sound level of 44dB (by comparison, the LG Window AC Non-Inverter is at 57dB), and can be controlled remotely using the SmartThinQ app and works with the Google Assistant and Alexa.
The new LG RAC with Dual Inverter Compressor will be available in the Philippines.

got my unit a year ago, this is not really new tech.
C0rD says:
70% over non-inverter. Why compare to a non-inverter? Obviously there will be a huge gap in energy saving numbers. If LG boasts about their new tech why not compare it to its counterpart Single Rotary Inverters?
It’s a known fact that you save money if you’d go with Inverter AC’s VS non-inverters for an additional costs.
Now, given that idea. buyers who’s set on buying inverter AC’s does not have any clue why go with dual vs regular inverter.
LG advertised Dual Inverters but does not really compare it to apples to apples with inverter technology.
They should work on showing why buy their Dual Inverter vs regular Inverters.
