The specifications of the LG Velvet have been circulating online just before its official launch on May 7. The previously leaked renders show that the smartphone will run on Snapdragon 765, with four rear cameras and a punch-hole selfie camera. Customers should also look forward to its OLED display and a 3.5mm audio jack with LG’s signature HiFi DAC in place.
According to the reports, the upcoming mid-range smartphone’s triple-rear cameras are composed of the following: a 48MP main OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP depth image sensors. Rumors have it that the main sensor will sport the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2. Its waterdrop notch houses the 16MP front camera. Onboard is an 8 GB RAM matched with 128 GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD slot. Battery-wise, it has a capacity of 4,300 mAh which supports fast-wired charging as well as wireless charging.
Among other features of the Velvet are in-display fingerprint scanner, built-in stereo speakers, MIL-STD rating, and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Weighing 180g, its has compact dimensions of 167.1 x 74 x 7.85 mm.
The Korean version of the LG Velvet comes in four colors: Aurora White, Aurora Green, Aurora Gray, and Illusion Sunset. It will be available for KRW 899,800.
