LinkedIn has released its Top Companies List for 2022, showing the 15 best workplaces for job seekers.
According to LinkedIn, these companies offer “stability in our ever-changing world of work — the ones that are not only attracting employees, but retaining them.”
To put together this year’s rankings, LinkedIn looked at their data across seven pillars, each revealing an important element of career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity and spread of educational backgrounds.
1. Smart Communications (Telecommunications)
To support employees’ mental health during the pandemic, Smart Communications launched the “Mind Your Health” program. Provided online, employees can learn from clinical experts and mental health advocates about various mental health issues that range from dealing with mental illnesses to mental health advocacy campaigns.
2. Accenture (Information Technology and Services)
In January, Accenture rolled out an array of personalized equipment to assist their employees with vision, hearing, speech or mobility impairment. The company provides headsets, talk-to-text keyboards, and glasses to provide a barrier-free work environment for the employees. It also strengthened its Near-Hire Training program to help non-college job applicants who have the potential to meet the entry-level requirements.
3. Shell (Oil & Energy)
Pilipinas Shell, a subsidiary of Shell in the Philippines, adopted the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations in January to disclose their climate-related risks and opportunities that are most pertinent to their business activities.
4. Metrobank (Banking)
During the pandemic, Metrobank supported employees’ well-being by partnering with ActiveOne Health. They developed employee wellness programs including a work-from-home policy and employee training to maintain health and safety. The company also offers programs to support the emotional and mental well-being of their employees.
5. Emerson (Industrial Machinery Manufacturing)
As mentioned in Emerson’s most recent ESG report, the company has set building a diverse organization and workplace as a top priority. The company has set the goal to double the representation of women globally and U.S. minorities at the leadership level by 2030. The ambitious plan is steadily producing results, including an award from Great Place To Work Philippines. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation also named it one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.
