Logitech outs new gaming mice with wireless charging support

Logitech has announced two new wireless gaming mice, the G903 and G703 Lightspeed, that supports the company’s new wireless charging technology, the G Powerplay.

First up are the G903 and G703 Lightspeed wireless gaming mice. Both devices are equipped with the PMW3366 optical sensor that is widely regarded by esports professionals and gaming enthusiasts. It is capable of-of a DPI range of 200-12,000 boasts good tracking accuracy and responsiveness, even at speeds over 400 IPS.

Other features include Advanced Mechanical Button Tensioning for a crisp button feel, response, and consistency; a configurable button layout for the G903 that allows left- or right-handed use; and a lightweight and ergonomic body for the G703.

Lastly, the G903 and G703 supports Logitech’s G Powerplay Wireless Charging System. What it does is it charges the new mice wirelessly even while in play. It does this by using an application of electromagnetic resonance that creates an energy field above the Powerplay’s 275 x 320mm surface to deliver wireless power without interference with its tracking and data transmission.

The Powerplay Wireless Charging System are expected at retailers in August 2017 for a suggested retail price of $99.99. The Logitech G903 and G703 LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mice are expected at global retailers beginning in June 2017 for suggested retail prices of $149.99 and $99.99, respectively.
