Taxi drivers snubbing passengers in major thoroughfares and pickup points have dropped by almost 50%, according to the Land Transportation Franchise Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
According to the government agency’s Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), the number of taxi drivers who negotiates for fixed fares and refuse to convey passengers from January to November this year went down to 1,123, almost half from 2,133 in the same period last year.
The agency promises to curb such practices this holiday season by intensifying their ‘Oplan Isnabero‘ program. They also warn taxi drivers to accommodate and provide service to passengers, regardless of their destination, in the holiday rush.
“Ito yung sinasabi namin: Ayusin niyo lang ho yung pagtrabaho niyo. As a taxi driver, use the meter. Wag na kayong mangongontrata, wag na din kayong mangi-i-snub,” (This is what we tell you: Do your work properly. As a taxi driver, use the meter. Do not ask for fixed fares, do not refuse passengers.) LTFRB Board Member Atty. Aileen Lizada said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
Erring Taxi drivers may be fined up to Php120,000, according to Lizada, once caught. Lizada also encourages the riding public to report such experiences to the LTFRB’s public hotlines for appropriate action.

LTFRB don’t just look at the data, try and walk in Makati Shopping Area after 9:30pm (the most obvious Greenbelt 4 taxi stand). you will find a line of taxi drivers parking outside road of taxi stands(not inside)…waiting for passenger to come and nego price with them

I am confused. With a 5000 mah battery you still find it lacking? You said 16 hrs video playback and yet you still find it lacking? Does it mean it’s software consumed lots of battery??
Jack says:
Kumonti lang ang nagreklamo dahil sanay na. Pero yung mga taxi na isnabero mas dumami pa for sure.
