ARM has made official a new chipset, albeit quietly, the Dimensity 7050. This chipset features an octa-core CPU that is powered by two ARM Cortex-A78 processors clocked up to 2.6GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 running at 2.0GHz. This is paired by an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
The Dimensity 7050 supports dual 5G SIM, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. The chipset uses the advanced TSMC N6 (6nm-class) chip production process with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology.
It can also handle display resolutions of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels, up t 120Hz refresh rate, 200MP maximum camera ISP with 4K@30fps video recording.
The Dimensity 7050 is a slightly better chip than the Dimensity 7020. However, from the looks of it, the Dimensity 7050 seems identical to the Dimensity 1080.
Reports indicate the Dimensity 7050 will be used on the upcoming Real 11 series.
