Mediatek has just announced a new entry-level chipset — the Mediatek Helio G36. The Helio G36 is composed of an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 running at max clock speed of 2.2GHz and paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 680MHz.
The chipset has built-in support for 4G/LTE, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5 with max 8GB RAM, 90Hz refresh rate and 1080p video recording.
The Helio G36 seems like a slower version of the Helio G37 (100Hz faster clock speed) that we saw in smartphones like the Infinix Hot 20 Play, Honor X7a and Tecno Spark 9.
