MediaTek has announced its newest mid-range chipset placed between the Helio P65 and P70 — the Helio P65.
The new Helio P65 comes with an octa-core processor that comprises of ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A75 CPU types. It has a maximum frequency of 2.0GHz, supports LPDDR3 and LPDDR4x random access memories (RAMs), up to 8GB of memory size, and eMMC 5.1 storage type. For graphics, it is paired with a Mali-G52 2EEMC2 that has a maximum frequency of 820MHz. As for connectivity, this chip can accommodate the Cat-4, Cat-7 DL, and Cat-13 UL LTE Categories, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The company said that its AI performance has improved by twice the rate compared to the previous generation of Helio chipsets. It can also natively support 48MP 4-cell @17fps or 16MP + 16MP @30fps or 25MP @30fps camera support.
