Aside from the upcoming Meizu Lucky 08, the company has recently unveiled its new Meizu Note 21 Series.
The new lineup consists of the vanilla Note 21 and the Note 21 Pro, featuring an unspecified octa-core chip and the Helio G99, respectively. Both support expandable storage via a dedicated microSD card slot and offer up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Display specs also differ for each model. The vanilla model sports a 6.74-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate and a dew-drop notch.
Meanwhile, the Pro gets a tad bit larger 6.78-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and a hole punch notch.
Interestingly, a company called DreamSmart now handles Meizu’s smartphone development. This collaboration essentially operates similarly to Nokia-HMD, where HMD holds the license to manufacture Nokia-branded phones. This shift explains Meizu’s continued presence in the smartphone market, even though they’ve shifted their focus to AI.
However, despite Meizu’s current focus on AI, the official information about the Note 21 Series doesn’t mention any specific AI features being integrated into the phones.
Software also remains undisclosed, but the phones are expected to run FlymeOS just like the Meizu 21.
