Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 AMG Line launched in the Philippines, priced

Mercedes-Benz Philippines has recently unveiled its newest addition to its SUV lineup, the new GLA 200 AMG Line.

Considered as the eight model to join the lineup, the GLA 200 AMG is 1,611mm tall (1616 with roof rails), making it more than ten centimeters taller than its predecessor. It has a sporty appearance with its diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome, 19-inch 5 twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, black roof liner, and polished aluminum roof rails. The side and rear views are characterized by the muscular shoulders of the vehicle. Additionally, the new generation GLA has a multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather.

It offers a spacious interior with comfortable seats with a 40:20:40 split on the rear backrest seat. This gives better space management for cargo loading and offers passengers a more customizable seating position for comfort. The luggage compartment height can be adjusted in 2 stages.

The new GLA is powered with a turbocharged, 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7G dual-clutch automatic transmission with cruise control and standard with front-wheel drive. Drivers may switch between Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Individual modes through the once console control in Dynamic Select. It is also equipped with an ECO Start/Stop system that automatically shuts off the engine when you’re at stoplights or idling.

Inside, the compact SUV has a Mercedes-Benz User Experience multimedia system consisting of a 7-inch instrument and media display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  It features a comprehensive touch operation which combines the touchscreen display, touchpad on the center console, and control buttons in the steering wheel.

For safety, the GLA 200 AMG Mercedes-Benz is geared with Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive features like the Light and Sight Package for optimizing visibility in the vehicle, Active Parking Assist with reverse camera, Tire Pressure Loss Warning System for monitoring the inflation pressure of all tires, Active Brake Assist, and Attention Assist.
