MG Motors has officially launched the 2020 version of their subcompact sedan: The MG 5. While still being considered a subcompact sedan, it is the largest one of its class, with dimensions 460.1 cm x 178.8cm (LxW) with its wheelbase spanning 268cm. Check out the four available variants and prices below.
The MG 5 is equipped with a 1.5-liter, DOHC 16V engine capable of producing 114 ps, and 150Nm torque. The MG 5 is available with either a 5-speed MT or a CVT gearbox with manual mode.
The MG 5 also comes with modern features such as a 10-inch touch screen infotainment unit (compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), 360-degree vehicle view, power driver’s seat for easy adjustment, and auto on/off LED headlamps.
For safety, the MG 5 comes with 2 airbags: for the driver and passenger, 4-wheel disc brakes, hill start assist, auto brake hold, push start/stop button, cruise control, electronic climate control, tire pressure monitoring system, reversing camera, as well as a sunroof.
In terms of warranty, MG offers 5 years or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first), and a 1-year free periodic maintenance service. Users can also get the My MG app which allows them to schedule maintenance visits and book MG Philippines’ Mobile Garage service caravan. Users can also call the MG HERO Service (+632 5328 – 4664) that’s available 24/7 for roadside support.
