Microsoft has announced the general availability of personal features in Teams on desktop, mobile, and web.
As per Microsoft, these personal features in Teams are designed to bring people closer by allowing them to call, chat, plan, and organize things—together in one place.
One of these features is the Together mode. It is a key feature of Teams that allows users to turn any regular video call into a shared virtual environment. In addition, users may choose from a variety of new virtual environments such as a family lounge, coffee shop, or even a summer resort to making their calls more engaging, according to Microsoft.
Additionally, Microsoft also mentioned that users could also use live emoji reactions and GIFs to spice up calls with their friends and family. Users may also send memes, GIFs, and in-chat animations.
Moreover, video call links in Teams can be shared with anyone—even if they don’t use Teams. Users may join a meeting using any device (PC, Mac, iOS, and Android) or web browser.
Microsoft also adds planning features such as assign tasks in shared to-do lists, instant polls, as well as schedule and share meeting invites in a group chat.
What’s more, users may also check out the dashboard view in every chat. The dashboard organizes shared content, from photos, files, weblinks, shared tasks, and upcoming group events.
Personal features in Teams are now available for free to all users globally.
