Filipina actress and singer Nadine Lustre has released her song “Wait For Me” as an audio Non-Fungible Token (NFT) in enter.audio, an NFT marketplace for artists.
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a way of proving that a digital item is the only one of its kind in existence and therefore cannot be copied or reproduced without the owner’s knowledge and consent. It’s like a certificate of ownership of a digital item.
In Nadine Lustre’s case, she created a 2:57 song and created an NFT for it. She will also earn every time the NFT is sold in the marketplace as royalty (10%) is also built-in. It’s a new way for artists to earn passive income for their art.
The price for the NFT is 20,425,320,172 NFTART tokens or equal to USD 30.05PHP 1,763INR 2,547EUR 29CNY 219 or PHP 1,515USD 26INR 2,189EUR 25CNY 188 based on the conversion at the time of writing and can be bought here. Do note that you’ll need a crypto wallet and purchase NFTART tokens in an exchange.
