Lenovo announced the newest LAVIE devices from NEC Personal Computers, Ltd., a joint venture company of Lenovo and NEC Corporation, during the CES 2021. The newest additions are the 8-inch LAVIE MINI and the LAVIE Pro Mobile laptops.
The new LAVIE MINI is a pocket-sized convertible PC. It is one of the smallest form-factors powered with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 mobile processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It features an 8-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) touch panel display, housed in a Crystal White body that weighs 579g.
Other features include the Modern Standby, IR camera with Windows Hello for zero-touch login, and circular-shaped numeric and symbol keys that are the same size as the alphabet keys. The logo on the LCD cover lights up while the PC is powered on, and the keyboard is backlit too for a more premium look.
This device supports an optional Gaming Controller. The controller comes with all the functions, including immersive vibrations, left and right trigger buttons, and an analog thumbstick. This may also be attached to its optional HDMI-connected Dock. The Dock provides other input and output extensions, including several USB Type-C and -A ports.
