HMD Global’s next-generation Nokia 2 and 3 finally makes landfall in the Philippines — The Nokia 2.1 and 3.1. These entry-level and budget devices were launched back in May.
First up, the Nokia 2.1. It sports a 5.5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery. It has a color variant that almost mimics the looks and design of the Nokia 7 Plus — a blue and copper combination. Don’t be disappointed with the RAM and storage configurations as the 2.1 uses Android Oreo (Go Edition), an OS built for low-storage devices.
Next up, the beefier Nokia 3.1. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS display with 1440 x 720 resolution, a MediaTek 6750 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, an upgraded 13MP rear camera, and 8MP front camera.
The Nokia 2.1 and 3.1 will be available on August 29 with price tags of Php 5,990 and Php 9,990, respectively. The Nokia 3.1 is now up for pre-order from today until August 26, it comes with a free JBL Go Bluetooth speaker. Both devices can also be bought via Home Credit for a 6-month 0% interest installment option.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of the story indicated the Nokia 2.1 and 3.1 are priced at Php9,990 and Php5,990, respectively. Our apologies for the error.
