Nokia may not be top of mind when it comes to laptops, but with French company OFF Global acquiring an exclusive license agreement to distribute Nokia-branded laptops in at least 22 countries, that perception may soon change.
The first to be unveiled under this setup is Nokia Purebook Pro, which was introduced at the Mobile World Congresss in Barcelona, Spain. The laptop comes in two sizes, namely 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches.
Weighing 1.7 kilograms, the 15-inch variant of Nokia Purebook Pro runs with Windows 11 and will have the Intel i3-1220p chipset under the hood. It has 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The 17-inch variant, meanwhile, has similar specifications as its lighter sibling with the notable exception of its battery capacity. The former has a capacity of 57 Wh, while the latter 63 Wh.
In terms of connectivity, both variants have 2 USB-C 3.2 ports, 1 USB-A 3.2 port, and a 3.5-mm audio jack.
The 15-inch variant is priced at EUR 699 (approximately Php40,140), while the 17-inch variant costs EUR 799 (approximately Php45,890). While there is no set date yet on release, OFF Global is believed to be planning the launch of additional laptop models later in the year. The roster of nations which OFF Global is set to sell Nokia laptops, however, does not include the Philippines at this time.
Before the deal with OFF Global, Nokia produced Booklet 3G as its first laptop to be released internationally.
