Nothing has just confirmed that its upcoming flagship phone, the Nothing Phone (2), will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset.
As reported by GSM Arena and TechCrunch, Nothing CEO Carl Pei himself confirmed the inclusion of the Qualcomm chip for their upcoming phone at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
While nothing else was revealed by Pei during his talk with the media, it is looking very likely that Nothing is firmly set on releasing a flagship-grade phone, complete with flagship-grade specs.
Early in February, we reported that the next phone from Nothing would reportedly be a flagship-level smartphone and this news has all but confirmed that rumor.
While the Nothing Phone (1) was a great all-around phone, it was very much a mid-range phone that punched above its weight in terms of specs. This makes the Nothing Phone (2) a very exciting smartphone to look out for this year and we’re definitely going to keep an eye on it.
