Nubia, ZTE’s sub-brand, has launched an interesting device at MWC 2019 which is a mixture of a smartphone and a smartwatch — the Nubia Alpha.
The Nubia Alpha sports a 4-inch flexible OLED display with a 960 x 192 screen resolution, a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and 500mAh battery.
For a smartwatch, the device has the usual fitness tracking (movement tracker, heart rate scanner, etc…), mobile payments, built-in speakers, and voice calls. However, its unique feature is that it has a 5MP camera which can be used for taking selfies. It can also be used as a device for text messaging as it uses an on-screen T9 keyboard design.
