The One UI 6.1 update might be in the works for The Samsung Galaxy S22.
Samsung started the rollout for the One UI 6.1 update for older Galaxy devices just last month. These included the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
But now, it looks like Samsung is working towards the update for more flagship devices like the Galaxy S22 series soon.
The Galaxy S22 has been spotted in a new test build for One UI 6.1 just recently. According to an established tipster via an X post, he spotted this on a server in Europe (UK) with the test build for the device.
The test build for the Galaxy S22 series has been upgraded from EXCF to S90xBXXU8EXD3
The build suggests that Samsung is regularly testing One UI 6.1 builds before rollout commences for the Galaxy S22 series. While the exact date of release has yet to be confirmed, it’s speculated to be within this month.
A recent report revealed that an update will be released for the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4 devices on April 10th. This update is slated to include a security patch and One UI 6.1.
Samsung also announced that they’re considering the inclusion of Galaxy AI features for the Galaxy S22 series. We’ve yet to uncover specific details, but we’ll be sure to update our readers for any further development to this story.
