It has only been a few weeks since OnePlus launched the new Ace 3 5G in its home market in China. So you can imagine our surprise when we saw the new OnePlus Ace 3 5G already available in Shopee Philippines.
Best of all, the phone’s price doesn’t stray too far from its official price in China. The OnePlus Ace 5G starts at PHP 25,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant, while the 16GB+512GB variant retails for PHP 35,543. Interestingly, the 16GB+1TB variant is also listed at the same price at PHP 35,543. There are three colors available – Black, Blue, and Gold.
For those of you wondering, the listing wasn’t posted by a random seller either. A reputable store is selling it at Shopee Mall, so you can have peace of mind the phone will arrive at your doorstep. And if you want to check it out for yourself, you can click this link 262.
There is a catch though. The OnePlus Ace 5G listed on Shopee isn’t a Philippine unit. In fact, the seller even states it comes with a Chinese ROM. They will then unlock it, install Google services, and set the language to English before shipping out the phone to you. In short, this is a gray market phone.
There’s no word just yet when OnePlus Philippines will launch the new Ace 3 5G in the country. But if you can’t wait, then you can buy this already.
For reference, the OnePlus Ace 3 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED curved display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset and packs a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging. There’s also a triple rear camera system highlighted by a 50MP main shooter, 8MP Ultrawide, and 2MP macro.
