OpenAI announces arrival of ChatGPT Search

ChatGPT Search has now arrived, working as a function of OpenAI’s platform that searches the web for its users. Users may click or tap the Search option after writing a prompt. From here, ChatGPT works to have a better look at what you might need.

OpenAI mentions that the new searching feature blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of real-time information. This includes sports scores, news, and more.

The company has even partnered with news and data providers to gather updated information and new visual designs. This also covers categories like weather, stocks, sports, news, and maps.

Plus, conversations with ChatGPT now provide users with links to sources like news articles or blog posts. Granted, these might feel like they should have been there to begin with. Just keep in mind, users need to click the Sources button below ChatGPT’s response to get the references. Better late than never!

The company says that the collaboration between them and the news industry was extensive. OpenAI was able to get a ton of feedback that was used for ChatGPT Search. For now, the company promises to improve the service in areas like shopping and travel.

Readers may check out ChatGPT Search at chatgpt.com or through the platform’s desktop or mobile apps. Notably, Enterprise and Edu users will get access to this feature in the coming weeks. However, Free users will be able to use it over the coming months instead.
