OPPO has confirmed Reno2’s chipset and camera features ahead of the smartphone’s launch.
Posted by OPPO vice president Brian Shen on his official Twitter account, the VP stated that the Reno2 is set to have Snapdragon 730G as its processor. He noted that “specs have been leaked, some incorrectly” and wanted to set the record straight, hence confirming the chipset.
On the other hand, OPPO India’s website showed off a couple of camera features of the upcoming device. With the Reno2’s quad-camera setup, the snappers will be equipped with 5x hybrid zoom, up to 20x digital zoom, and an Ultra Dark Mode.
Video-wise, the Reno2 will have an Ultra Steady Mode. A video of this was also posted by Brian Shen, comparing the Reno2’s video stability with another unnamed smartphone.
In a previous announcement, OPPO has stated that the Reno2 series will retain the original Reno’s shark-fin pop-up camera. It’s set to have a quad-camera setup with 20x zoom.
The OPPO Reno2 series will be launched on August 28, in India. Stay tuned for the official specs, availability, and pricing.
