Online e-wallet PayMaya is rebranding and changing its name to an all-in-one money app called Maya.
Maya combines the popular PayMaya e-wallet with new features like crypto, and digital banking experience powered by Maya Bank which allows users to spend, save, grow, invest, and master their money just using their smartphone.
The new Maya app comes with new features that make money handling easier and more seamless. Some of the new features according to Maya are:
Maya says that more features are coming to the app such as dark mode, a goal-based savings feature, and more.
“Maya is all about challenging conventions – and this translates into the experience we’re giving our users with this new all-in-one money app. With this transformation, we want to enable Filipinos to make bolder choices with their money and seize opportunities – big and small,” said Shailesh Baidwan, President of PayMaya, and Co-Founder and Board Member of Maya Bank.
Maya is available to download for early access users starting today.

Paymaya should have informed the retail outlets more about this change, today I had a couple of delays paying via generated QR code since the Paymaya icon and name changed to Maya only and the cashiers weren’t sure about what happened.
