PH among top countries in Pornhub traffic, leads in Time Spent Per Visit

As 2021 comes to a close, most websites give insights into their annual statistics, and that includes Pornhub. The Philippines is again among the top countries that enjoy watching videos on their platform

Among the top 20 countries in terms of website traffic, the Philippines makes it to the number 9th spot, falling one rank from last year. According to Pornhub, the Top 20 countries represent 79 percent of the website’s daily traffic.

Aside from that, the Philippines tops the long list of countries that spend their most time on Pornhub at 11 minutes and 31 seconds per visit, which is above the worldwide average of 9 minutes and 55 seconds. Porhub claims that the time on the site can reflect several factors like internet speed in some regions. It is also noted that female visitors spend 14 seconds longer than male visitors.

In 2021, the proportion of female visitors grew to 35 percent, an increase of 1 percentage point and +5 percent growth compared to 2020. Among the Top 20 mentioned earlier, the Philippines is one of the countries that have greater than 40 percent female viewership. Looking at the categories, we find what most users search for and the ‘Japanese’ category dominates the most popular with men, and ‘Lesbian’ for women. The ‘Threesome’ category ranked 4th for women, while for the men, it ranked 10th.

Digging deeper, the most searched term in the Philippines continues to be ‘Pinay’, while other terms appeared in the top 10 for the first time including ‘Korean’, ‘Asian’, and ‘Anime.’ According to their statistics, the Philippines are +286% more likely to view the Hentai category, 134% more into Romantic videos, and +111% more into Cartoon compared to the rest of the world.

Among other things, Pornhub released the data that revealed the top searches in 2021. Previously, it was ‘Fortnite’ and ‘Bowsette’ in 2018, ‘amateur’ porn and ‘aliens’ in 2019, and 2020 was ‘quarantine’. For 2021, the top term was ‘hentai.’
