Qualcomm announces new 5G capable Snapdragon 768G

The chipset used in Redmi’s K30 5G Racing Edition, the Snapdragon 768G, has been officially announced by Qualcomm.

As the device’s name suggests, the Snapdragon 768G is capable of 5G connectivity. It comes with Qualcomm Kryo 475 CPU cores clocked at 2.8GHz and an Adreno 620 GPU. Its features include:

  • Immersive Gaming – The Snapdragon 768G supports true 10-bit HDR, with updatable GPU drivers, allowing gamers to control driver updates and settings. It also natively supports 120Hz displays.
  • Global 5G – The Snapdragon 768G is equipped with the Snapdragon X52 5G Modem-RF System. It’s compatible with both 5G SA and NSA modes, TDD and FDD with Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), global 5G roaming, and support for multi-SIM.
  • 5th Generation AI Engine – The Snapdragon 768G also features Qualcomm’s 5th generation AI Engine. Combined with the X52 5G modem, the Snapdragon 768G offers a better camera, audio, voice, and gaming experience. It also features Qualcomm’s Sensing Hub, enabling devices to be aware of voice commands when using voice assistants.
