Qualcomm has announced their new chipset that offers premium features in gaming and AI, the Snapdragon 712.
The Snapdragon 712 is the successor of the Snapdragon 710 announced last year. It is built on a 10-nm process and features a multicore Qualcomm AI Engine consisting of the Qualcomm Kryo 360 CPU, Qualcomm Adreno 616 GPU, and the Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP.
According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 712 provides up to a 10% increase in performance over the Snapdragon 710. The Adreno 616 GPU is capable of rendering over one billion colors, while the Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology can deliver great audio quality for a more immersive gaming experience.
As for other features, it is equipped with a Snapdragon X15 LTE Modem that can support 4G LTE 4×4 MIMO and License-Assisted Access (LAA), Qualcomm Spectra 250 camera ISP for up to 32MP images and 4K videos with video noise reduction, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.
