Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has recently debuted the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 is identified as the second generation of the Company’s entry-level platform for always-on, always-connected Windows PCs and Chromebooks with efficient performance and support for multi-day battery life.
Moreover, Qualcomm shared that devices powered by Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 will upgrade entry-level device experiences with enhanced camera and audio capabilities, integrated LTE connectivity, AI acceleration, and enterprise-grade security features.
According to Qualcomm, the fifth-generation Qualcomm AI Engine can support intelligent applications on the device to enable the latest AI-accelerated features.
“Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 brings the leading innovations of our compute portfolio to the next generation of entry-tier and affordable devices. Laptops powered by this platform will redefine mobile computing for education users, first-line workers, and everyday light consumers, enabling reliable and powerful devices that feature advanced AI and support for multi-day battery life,” said Miguel Nunes, Senior Director, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
It also features 4K HDR media, using an up to 32MP camera for high-quality video conferencing, or utilizing low-light video and photography and Hi-Fi Audio features.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 also comes with an integrated Qualcomm Spectra ISP (image signal processor) and Qualcomm Aqstic Audio technology.
Qualcomm claims that this platform will set a new standard for entry-level consumer, enterprise, and education devices. Thus, the first device based on Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 is expected to be commercially available “this summer.”
