The realme C55 is officially launching on March 7 according to the official website of realme Indonesia.
Despite the scheduled launch, realme is a bit hasty because they have already posted the details of the realme C55 in full.
For starters, it is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset—a real upgrade from the Unisoc chip on the realme C35.
It boasts a 90Hz screen that spans 6.72-inch wherein it now has a punch-hole notch housing the 8MP selfie shooter.
Apparently, the brand confirmed that its Dynamic Island ripoff is also coming to this model. They call it the ‘Mini Capsule’ that displays animated status indicators just like the one from Apple. Although, we have yet to see whether this Mini Capsule of theirs is actually useful rather than a gimmick.
Other features of the realme C55 include a dual camera setup with 64MP main lens; a 5000mAh battery with 33 watts charging rate which is faster than its predecessor’s 18 watts.
It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. An NFC chip onboard and comes with Dirac’s audio tuning.
The C55 will be 7.89mm thin and will be available in two colorways: Rainy Night and Sunshower; and comes in two configurations (6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB) with a dedicated microSD slot for up to 1TB expansion.
It gets Android 13 out of the box with the realme UI 4.0 skin, and of course, a Dynamic RAM expansion for up to 6GB.
Realme will livestream the launch event on March 7 at 2PM Philippine time. It should also come available locally, so stay tuned for updates.
