realme to launch a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G-powered flagship smartphone

realme has recently confirmed that it will release a flagship smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G processor in its 2021 portfolio.

Equipped with the latest smartphone processor of MediaTek, the upcoming realme flagship smartphone will improve 5G connectivity, AI, photography, video, and mobile gaming. As we previously reported, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G processors built under a 6nm process. It is a premium chipset for flagship smartphones, consisting of one ultra Arm Cortex-A78 core with up to 3GHz clock speed, three more Arm Cortex-A78 super core with a lower clock speed 2.6GHz, and four efficient Arm Cortex-A55 cores. It supports 200MP camera sensors, 4K HDR video recording, and a 168Hz display with up to 2520 x 1080 resolution.

The chipset brings 2G to 5G support to the upcoming realme flagship smartphone, thanks to the integrated 5G modem in the Dimesity 1200 5G processor. It is also mated with MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave technology that allows power saving.

realme did not mention further details about its upcoming flagship smartphone. However, it hinted on its graphics that the smartphone would be coming anytime soon.

Among other 5G-ready realme smartphones powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets are the realme X7 Pro and realme X7.
