Cignal TV, in partnership with Meralco-backed Radius Telecoms, launches a new residential TV and fiber internet service called RED Broadband.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, RED Broadband is offering consumers unlimited fiber internet bundled with pay-TV services as low as PHP 1,299 per month.
Radius Telecoms is part of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. under business tycoon Manny Pangilinan. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Electric Company, or commonly known as Meralco.
Meanwhile, Cignal TV Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings Inc. under the PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund. The company is also part of Pangilinan’s group of companies.
Previously, Pangilinan withdrew its bid for Sky Cable due to antitrust regulators, which may flag the deal.
