nubia on Wednesday has shared official renders of its upcoming REDMAGIC 9 Pro ahead of launch on November 23.
These new promotional images reveal the phone’s sleek design and build with a flat frame, flat display. Perhaps a remarkable engineering feat is the absence of camera bump, being able to squeeze the camera hardware in a thin 8.9mm frame.
The camera specs are kept under wraps, but the brand did share photos showing the hardware layout of the cameras along with the cooling vent, and the customized glass.
nubia explains (in Chinese) that they have re-customized nearly half of the components and have rearranged the structure to achieve a flat rear panel.
It uses a custom-made glass on the back whereas after 15 processes, they integrated the back panel design and the lens glass.
To put it simply, it is a single piece of back glass that also acts as a camera lens itself. Thus, avoiding any increase in thickness.
At the same time, the image [quality] is improved and that the battery is even bigger.
Another interesting change is the absence of a notch on the display panel. But we have yet to see if they hid it at the thin bezel up top.
No other tech specs were mentioned as of writing. We should hear more as the new REDMAGIC 9 Pro lineup goes official on November 23 at 2:00pm local time in China.
