The Redmi Watch 5 Active has been priced in the Philippines. This is the brand’s newest offering for their budget-friendly wearables. It will offer an improved build, large rectangular display, long battery life, and a handful of smart features.
Redmi claims that its frame sports a matte finish to make for a quality look and smoother feel. The watch will be available in either Midnight Black or Matte Silver color options.
The watch has a 2-inch LCD with a resolution of 320 x 385 at 250 pixels per inch. Additionally, it comes with over 200+ watch faces to fit the user’s aesthetic.
Fitness and health features include 24-hour monitoring for heart rate, blood oxygen, and stress. It offers 140+ workout modes for data-driven training as well as a 5ATM water resistance rating.
As such, the watch can withstand water pressure up to a depth of 50 meters. Safe to say, watersports and the like should not be an issue for the watch.
For calls, the device uses a dual-microphone setup with noise reduction. It also has a loudspeaker and supports Bluetooth calling. Sensors include an accelerometer, heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen sensor.
The watch will run on Xiaomi HyperOS, compatible with smartphones running Android 8 and above. However, it only supports iOS 12 and above. Other features include a camera control flashlight, weather, find my device, music access, phone, and tasks.
Lastly, it packs a 470mAh battery which Xiaomi claims can last for up to 18 days on a single charge. The Redmi Watch 5 Active has a suggested retail price of PHP 1,899.
However, it has an introductory pre-order price of PHP 1,799 on Shopee. It’s exclusively available on this platform with the pre-order period valid from October 7-13.
