Xiaomi’s Redmi has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the introduction of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite, following the launch of the Redmi Watch 5 Active 14 last month. The new smartwatch brings several upgrades, including an always-on AMOLED display, measuring 1.96 inches diagonally with 600 nits peak brightness and a resolution of 502×410 pixels. It supports over 200 cloud-based watch faces, with 50+ customizable options and 30+ always-on (AOD) faces.
Running on HyperOS, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite is compatible with devices running Android 6 or iOS 12 and above. It comes with Alexa voice assistant support, along with emoji and Hindi language compatibility. The watch also supports Bluetooth calling, featuring a speaker and two microphones with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for clear communication.
On the health and fitness side, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite offers 150+ sports modes and includes a heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, and in-built GPS. It is 5 ATM water-resistant, making it suitable for tracking swimming performance. Other notable features include sleep monitoring, stress tracking, and period cycle tracking.
The watch packs a 470 mAh battery, providing up to 18 days of use under typical conditions and 12 days under heavy usage. It also supports five GNSS systems: GLONASS, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS, ensuring precise location tracking.
Additional features include a multi-functional side button, Bluetooth 5.3, torchlight function, camera shutter control, and various modes like night mode, Do Not Disturb (DND), and theatre mode. Users can also utilize the raise-to-wake and palm tap-to-sleep functions for convenience.
Weighing 29.2g without straps, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes in Black and Light Gold colors, with TPU straps available in Candy Pink, Mint Green, and Lemon Yellow. The straps are adjustable between 135-200mm in length.
