Samsung has announced its newest mobile processor that features the company’s first 5G-integrated technology — the Exynos 980.
Based on the 8nm FinFET technology, the Samsung Exynos 980 comes with two ARM Cortex-A77 cores and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores. It also sports the Mali-G76 GPU, MFC (Multi-format codec) support, HDR10+, 4K UHD video at 120fps, up to 2.55Gbps in sub-6GHz 5G connectivity, E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) which supports up to 3.55Gbps downlink speed for 5G connectivity. In addition, the processor the Wi-Fi 6 technology (Wi-Fi 802.11 ax).

The Samsung Exynos 980 mobile processor is set to begin its mass production by the end of 2019.
