Samsung Electronics has announced its latest wearables along with the new Galaxy Z Fold devices, the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic runs on the new Wear OS powered by Samsung, built jointly with Google, and are equipped with One UI Watch interface. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch4 is equipped with Samsung’s 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor that run Optical Heart Rate, Electrical heart, and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis.
The Galaxy Watch4 series boasts an Exynos W920 5nm processor with a 20% faster CPU and 50% more RAM, and a GPU that is 10 times faster than its previous generation. Both the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 classic sport a 1.4-inch 450×450 AMOLED display. The difference between the two is size and casing, the Galaxy Watch4 has 44mm and 40mm sizes encased in an Aluminum case, plus it is equipped with the Corning Gorilla Glass DX+. On the flipside, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic has 46mm and 42mm sizes encased in a Stainless steel case, and access to the Corning Gorilla Glass DX.
Both smartwatches support Bluetooth 5.0, a 5ATM, and IP68 rating. As for the battery, the 44mm and 46mm watches sport a 361mAh battery while the 40mm and 42mm watches have a 247mAh battery capacity.
The Galaxy Watch4 40mm and 44mm has a starting price of PHP 12,990, while the Galaxy Watch4 Classic 42mm and 46mm has a starting price of PHP 17,990. Both smartwatches are available for pre-order in select markets starting on August 19, with retail availability starting September 22.
