Samsung has officially unveiled its latest mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G, in the Philippines. These devices bring enhanced AI capabilities, robust hardware, and extended software support to the A-series lineup. Both models feature a sleek design with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness.
The Galaxy A56 5G is slightly more compact at 162.2 x 77.5 x 7.4 mm and weighs 198 grams, available in Awesome Light Gray, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Pink. The Galaxy A36 5G measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4 mm, weighs 195 grams, and comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, and Awesome White. Both devices are IP67-rated for dust and water resistance.
The camera setups on these devices cater to diverse photography needs. Both models sport a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video HDR. The Galaxy A56 5G enhances versatility with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the A36 5G includes an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. Both phones also feature a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, a 12MP front camera with Video HDR is present on both models, with the A56 5G offering additional Low Noise (LN) capabilities.
A standout feature of the Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G is Samsung’s commitment to extended software support, promising six years of Android OS and security updates. Both devices run on Android 15 with One UI 7.0. Additional features include stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensors, eSIM support, and Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security.

The Galaxy A36 5G is priced at PHP 19,990USD 342INR 29,645EUR 329CNY 2,493 for the 8GB/128GB variant and PHP 21,990USD 376INR 32,611EUR 362CNY 2,742 for the 8GB/256GB model. The Galaxy A56 5G costs PHP 23,990USD 410INR 35,577EUR 395CNY 2,992 for the 8GB/128GB version and PHP 25,990USD 445INR 38,543EUR 428CNY 3,241 for the 8GB/256GB variant. Both smartphones will be available in physical stores starting March 17, 2025, with online availability on the Samsung E-shop beginning March 24, 2025.
